The Big Texan Heart of Jason Halek

Everything’s bigger in Texas, and Jason Halek is out to prove that his heart is deserving of the Texan sentiment. As founder and director of Halek Charities, an IRS-registered 501(c)(3) organization, Jason Halek continues to advance the health and well-being of children and adults across Texas as well as around the world.

Although Halek Charities supports a variety of local and global interests, Jason Halek’s heart is at home here in Texas where his organization continues to support a growing number of local interests including children’s hospitals, foundations for children with chronic illnesses, and foster care organizations.

One particular project close to Jason Halek’s heart is the work of Texas Scottish Rite Hospital. Originally founded in the early 1920s to care for children with polio, this hospital continues to provide exceptional care to children with orthopedic needs, regardless of the family’s ability to pay.

While children certainly hold a special place in the heart of this great man, Jason Halek also cares about adults. His support of local Meals on Wheels services goes beyond the relatively simple aspect of monetary donations. Jason Halek’s employees serve as volunteers on the route in Tarrant County. “I believe it is important to give back to our local community both financially and also by volunteering to get involved where we live and work,” says Halek.

A growing philanthropic organization, Halek Charities currently supports over 30 different charities with both financial and volunteer resources, both in Texas and around the world.
